I only found it because of the great people over in the Photography forum here on C-D. Check it out here. There is a LOT of great information given out very freely and a couple of monthly contests thrown in for good luck. Don't win anything except bragging rights, but they are fun and some of the photos are just jaw dropping beautiful.

You came close this month Bydand. I was hoping you could pull it out at the end. Great picture you entered!

Thanks. I actually voted for Mailman because I liked his photo better than mine. Oh well, another month maybe.

Went out this afternoon for a bit. Here are some fresh ones from my neck of the woods (or beach as the case may be). All were taken just South of Ludington.

Strolling along the beach.

Hanging on at the top of a bluff.

Cool patterns made by dune grass moving in the breeze.

Ripples caused by the breeze blowing across the beach.

The moon coming up over a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. I love how blue the sky was tonight.

kid+sand+hill= LEAP

You have heard of snow angels... How about sand angels?

Absolutely gorgeous pics everyone has shared. I grew up in Lansing, but have been in TX for 16 years. I hated it for many years and never wanted to return. Love TX, but miss the 4 seasons (well, almost 4) and have grown to respect the beautiful state I was from and the trips to Mackinac Island, Sleeping Bear Dunes, etc. I will be going back for a visit in a little over a week, and looking forward to it, even with the cold temps!
