Switching gears a bit, I was involved in a tour of a new apartment/condo/office/retail development in downtown Grand Rapids today, called 38 Commerce. It's in this great part of town called the Heartside Historic District (near the arena if you've been to GR). Many of the buildings surrounding it have recently been refurbished into offices, restaurants, and downtown campuses for Cooley Law School and WMU.

I don't think a bad photographer could post a Bad shot of Michigan.

Michigan scenery will always come out like a Norman Rockwell painting.
With it's own special beauty.
That's one thing I've never forgotten since I left in 1972.

LOL, unfortunately, not only have I seen some horrible shots of areas in MI, but I have been to them. They are not on this thread, though!

Went out for a bit today. The color has come and gone in a hurry this year. Kind of muted, and not all that vibrant like years past it seemed. Still the golds and Yellows are pretty.

Ludington State Park. By Hamlin Lake.

Standing on top of a Dune just North of Ludington.

I found this while walking to the top of the dune.

Dug it out and it had an offer printed on the side. Check out the ending dates for sending in your order.

OK those last two are not really "spectacular" but I had to share.
Back to the nicer photos of this area.

This is taken by "Hackert or Crystal Lake" depends on how long you have lived here as to which one you call it. Less than 20 years= Hackert, 20+ years=Crystal. Either way it is a nice little lake.

Another shot of Crystal Lake in the background

This is the outlet of Hamlin Lake, as you can see, the color is turned to shades of brown now.

This one was taken from Ludington's "Marina Park"

Here is the other day when the waves were rolling decent. Not too big, but not just ripples either. I love the boat by the pier, gives a nice perspective on the size of the waves in the background, and yes, the guy driving the boat is standing up. This is the Ludington South Pier light.
