We will be relocating for work, is Chesterfield Township diverse with minorities? What neighborhoods are best for families and young adults?

No, it is almost completely white. It is a sprawling strip mall type of township anywhere away from the water, and very flat land, some is agricultural, subdivisions right next to farms. New Baltimore is an ok kind of cute town. It is mostly conservative, but you will find diversity in opinions, regardless, as 43% voted for Biden. For young adults, I can't say exactly, but I would prefer walking distance for them to meet up with other kids, so I'd look at that, either near a downtown, or walk to their schools. It's a very car-centric area. Perhaps any of the small town areas closest to the water will give you the most social opportunites. The farther you get away from the water the more spread out farmland, dirt roads, and sprawl. Google maps will show it all.

According to Wikipedia, the 2010 Census had the township as being 87.1% white.

Hmm. Just went to wikipedia and this is copied verbatim:

Demographics
As of the 2010 census Chesterfield Township had a population of 43,381. The racial and ethnic composition of the population was 89.5% non-Hispanic white, 5.3% African American, 0.4% Native American, 1.0% Asian, 0.1% non-Hispanics from some other race, 1.8% from two or more races, and 2.4% Hispanic or Latino.[19]

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 37,405 people, 13,347 households, and 10,076 families residing in the township. The population density was 1,341.7 per square mile (518.0/km2). There were 13,967 housing units at an average density of 501.0 per square mile (193.4/km2). The racial makeup of the township was 93.43% White, 2.97% African American, 0.40% Native American, 0.76% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.87% from other races, and 1.56% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.52% of the population.

Notice between those two censuses that in 2010, Hispanic whites are not included with anglo-whites, at 89.5%. Hispanics can be anglo, or not anglo...but neither census reports "87.1"

2000 census is right, it doesn't distinguish between those of Hispanic descent and other anglos, 93.43% white.
