I did my part to help Detroit. I traded my POS GM Aveo in on a Toyota Corolla today.
I tried for the last time to buy GM, the car was an 06 and I have had trouble with it from the get go. It has been in the shop more than out. I have had the dealer say there is nothing they can do to fix the problems. From bad tires to dirty socks smell in the air con. to squeak in the front end.
The only thing GM would do was to give me an extension on the war. to 100k on the air and front end.
Of all the people I know who bought Toyota every one to the last has over 150k on the cars and trucks with only minor problems.
I saw this time and time again, even one contractor who bought one to try to beat it into the ground so he could say it was junk, after many many miles and abuse he was a convert and now drives Toyota only.
I told GM that I was going to buy a Toyota and give up on the American car company's.
If any one is looking just read some threads on several sites about the aveo, you will not want to buy a chevy aveo or any other POS GM product. You should have seen the sales man in the Chevy dealership, he was so hungry he was giving me top $ for my trade without even seeing it. LOL
Toyota would not budge from their price because they did not have to. It is not stand in line at a Toyota garage because of any other reason than they have great cars and word of mouth.

Aveo is a Daewoo product sold by Chevrolet. I didn't know anyone actually bought them; I may have seen literally 3 on the road ever.

Yeah, it's a Korean POS built in Korea w/a GM badge. I've always bought GM, but refuse to buy anything built in Korea or Mexico.
