The best frozen custard in Michigan is Bob-Jo's on Fort Street in Wyandotte!

My classmate from Lake Linden in the UP used to always talk about some sort of toast that they have in this one town. Anyone know what he's talking about?

It is known as Trenary toast, and IMO it is an acquired taste.....extremely dry....it seems like only the old time Yoopers dig it....

Oddly enough, the main food I miss is the Meijer brand natural peanut butter. When my mom came out to Charlotte to visit, she brought me 16 jars of it. Yay!

In fact, I miss Meijer in general.

I also miss the blueberry pancakes at the Inn Season in Royal Oak.
And Buddy's pizza.
And Garden Fresh salsa.
And produce from Holiday Market in Royal Oak.
And Yates Cider Mill.
And I don't buy potato chips often, but when I do I find myself instinctively scanning the shelves for BetterMade, and not finding them.
Ooh! Achatz pies! Will definitely be stopping there when I'm back in Michigan in September for a week.

I'm in the rural Golden Corner as they like to call it. NW of Greenville. Further beyond Clemson even.

Oh! I did however see a Squirt in Bi-lo yesterday. I think someone mentioned they missed squirt. Well anyways, I saw it.
