I'm kind of stymied by the lack of discussion on this topic.

On other threads such as investments and business it has only about 20 threads at a time. I believe that it should have not been done, if banks or other businesses need to collapse I say let them. All we are doing is bailing out the CEO's. It makes me very angry.

Default It's all over the Business/Investment thread

but I agree - I was against it, wrote my Senator here; he is pretty responsive and believe he did vote against it.

Capitalism on the way up but socialism on the way down...so wrong.

The problem is most of our congressmen are heavily invested in Wall St., so they personally could not afford to let it fall. They put their own portfolios ahead of the taxpayers long term benefit. It only prolongs the inevitable. The market tried to make a correction, Congress put a band-aid on it, but the bleeding will continue until the correction is made.

I am very angry that my children will have to subsidize this welfare program.

We should all be angry at what has been going on for far to long. Question is: Do we have what it takes to make the changes that are necessary to bring about the changes that we need?
