Just saw on the Weather Channel that Michigan's budget for snowplow and road salting is being reduced. They claim potholes will be an even bigger problem now. I say: Show me a bailout for this. . Okay, not really.

yes, local news up here has been telling us this for a few weeks now. They plan to really cut the plowing and salting on secondary and back roads.....which is 97% of my travel. Slow down, stock your car with supplies and be prepared.

Good advice, Snowflake!

I used to keep my sleeping bag in the truck, along with my ice fishing boots, mittens, and a hat. Water, matches/lighter, and a flashlight are easy things to keep in the vehicle too.
