Hey all,

Not sure this is the best forum for this, but I was hoping I could get some information or opinions regarding the purchase of a condo in Okemos. This is a special case on some ways since the condo itself is a stand-alone unit literally on the river (structural issues to be looked at by an engineer) while the other units are joined. I have a lot of info to research such as the bi laws and such, but I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction as to whether this is a good time to buy this type of condo or if I should continue renting.

I can provide more specifics, but I guess it's a large topic and I wouldn't know where to begin. As far as financing, I'm a first time buyer and veteran which supposidly provides me with a vet. loan. (no money down with low interest rate).

PLEASE help before I make a possible mistake!

THANKS!

I mean this in a serious way with only helpful intent.

Buying any real estate with no money down is a mistake. Always has been, always will be. Those who tell you otherwise are not looking out for YOU.

Oh...and for what it's worth...I have 3 kids who are Iraq War vets.
