Does anyone have any recommendations for campgrounds in the Keweenaw? I am camping in a tent by myself and the only requirements I have is availability of a shower and a quiet place. I have camped at McClain State Park before but I am sure there are several other nice campgrounds.

There are some listed here bit I am not familiar with these.

The wife and I went here in September 2006 and it was pretty nice. In Copper Harbor.

If you must have a shower, then your options are limited. I have camped a few times out on High Rock Bay, way past the end of US26. You can wash up in Lake Superior, and you can't beat the quite, except for the crashing of waves.

Those roads beyond Copper Harbor seem a bit too rough for a car, unfortunately.
