I am heading toward the U.P Saturday and want to get a few filters for my Nikon D80. There is nothing around my area, so I am hoping there is a place on the way, not far from getting off I-75. We will be staying at Wilderness State Park for a few days before heading up to Grand Marais. Does anyone know if there is a place I can get some filters around these areas?

Maybe in Traverse City, but other than that probably Marquette. Camera shops are few and far between in the Northern lower and that end of the UP. I travel 1 1/2 hours to a shop in Grand Rapids for anything camera related.

Traverse City is a bit of a drive off I-75. A closer option is probably Johnson's Studio & Camera Shop in Cheboygan, which is a 5-10 minute jog off I-75...well, if you pick the right exit. there's like five exits for Cheboygan over a 20 mile span, so check MapQuest or something. It says they're open 9am to 4pm on Saturday.

Thanks SG! I called and they do have what I need. Now I just have to make it in time before they close at 2.

There is a place in Gaylord. Exit on 72, turn right, into town, and it's just a block or two on your right. Can't remember the name of the place though.
