Hello

I'm moving to Lansing with my family from Europe. Me, my husband ( got a PHD scholarship from MSU) and our 19 months old daughter.
I've been checking for a nice apartment which should have easy access to MSU and as well a good surrounding for our little daughter.

We are coming to USA end of August that's why we have to rent the apartment before seeing it (thats really hard but we have to do it somehow) .So any advise would really help us a lot.

I made a list with the potential apartments. Please share with us if you have any experience with the following:

1) Trappers Cove Apartments
2) Amber Square Apartments
3) Ambassador
4) Kimberly Square
5) 1016 Chester
6) North Pointe
7) The Pines
8) Abbott Pointe

Actually I was feeling very good about Trappers Cove, but then I checked apartmentrating.com and I really got confused with all the bad arguments about it.

Thanks

Trappers Cove is filled with excited undergrads and seems to be a bit more rundown (as of a few years ago anyway). I almost moved there until I saw it. That's all I know about those apartment listings though. Sorry I couldn't be more of a help!

I lived in Trappers Cove for 2 years (at two different times!) and didn't mind it at all. The only thing I didn't like was that there is no dishwasher. There were alot of kids, a small but decent swimming pool, noise was never unreasonable. I lived there as a senior at MSU and also as a married 30 year old. We chose it, also sight unseen, because it was cheap and easy-access. We weren't sorry. For 2 people and a baby, I think the size of a 2 bedroom would probably be fine for you.
Good luck with your decision!
