Long time reader, first time poster.
We've been thinking about purchasing a lake cottage for some time - mainly in Indiana, but we've recently widened our radius to include southern Michigan.
We've heard good things about the chain of lakes in Coldwater - and not so good things about Union Lake area near Union City.
Basically that Union City is a "distressed" area - and most people from Indiana & Ohio buy summer homes in the Coldwater area. I must say, while we're not rednecks with appliances in our front yard, we're also not foo-foo, pinkies out, cut the grass in khaki's and boat shoes either.
So, tell me ... what's the real deal with Union Lake/Union City?
