Charlevoix invites you to experience the magic of autumn in Northern Michigan at the Annual Apple Festival & Craft Show. This 3-day event, sponsored by the Charlevoix Area Chamber of Commerce, is held yearly to honor local orchards and growers who, in the spirit of the season, gather in downtown Charlevoix to bring the fall harvest to you. Festival Hours are Friday & Saturday, 10am - 6pm and Sunday 10am - 4pm.

The festival’s focal point is the apple, proven to be the most popular fruit in North America. Northern Michigan’s cool temperatures are said to produce tastier and more colorful fruit than those grown in warmer climates. More than 30 types of apples, including the hard to find “antique varieties”, will be on hand as well as other fall harvest items such as pumpkins, squash, jam, honey, maple syrup and cider.

Activities include a craft show featuring 100 craftsmen ready to show their wares, face painting, pony & horse rides, a petting zoo and more.

So, bundle up and bring the family to our fall harvest bonanza! Join the festivities and show your support for local orchards, farm markets, and nonprofit organizations while celebrating the season in scenic downtown Charlevoix this October.

There isnt a spot in this state where you can go wrong for enjoying Fall.

Just pick your time slot....colors in the NW U.P. should be peaking in a week or so, while the southeast corner of the state (Detroit area) usually peaks the 3rd week of October.

The drive up M-22 from Frankfort to Leland is heavily wooded and very beautiful during the fall months. Historic "Fishtown" is open throughout October if I'm remembering correctly.
