I will ask her. She is a teacher at U-M. I am not sure what her hours are. I do not think that she works 9-5

Plymouth and Ann Arbor are quite different. Plymouth is a small town that grew up. Ann Arbor is a city. You really cannot compare them. It is like asking what is better living on a ranch in Wyoming, or in a condo in a Los Angeles Suburb? You just cannot compare the two, it completely depends on which lifestyle you prefer.
There are many suburbs of Chicago that are similar in look/feel to Plymouth, seems to be the poster's point. I can think of some that bear a strong resemblance.

I'm not sure the difference between the two is Wyoming/LA, but you do have a more small-town feel to Plymouth and Ann Arbor is a fairly standard college town/city with the trappings that come with its size and student population.
