That't probably NOT Photoshopped. For some reason, in Michigan most of the members of the Polar Bear Club, who like to skinnydip in January, are all in that age range. they have to chop holes in the ice as above to, um, enjoy themselves.

And they think the USA is losing its regional flavor!

You got me, michmoldman! Here I though it would be some noble image of the USCGC Mackinaw! Pretty funny! BTW, not all Polar Bears are old. My Coastie went skinny dipping in Lake Superior on New Year's Day when he was stationed in da U.P.

I'm glad to hear it, although I rather question his mental soundness. I hate to see a truly goofy tradition like this one die out.
