I'm working on a collaborative project by and for people who have left Michigan. As anyone familiar with the state knows, a lot of people are leaving the state for greener pastures. Sometimes it's willingly, sometimes it's a necessity.

This project is fun and isn't very time consuming. If you want to put in your two cents about Michigan and your exodus contact me, I'll tell you how to contribute. Positive and negative experiences welcome!

Let's hear a little more info about your project. I'd like to chronicle the stories of people who are moving there despite the hard times, personally.

Project details are a bit shy here. Is it a piece on how crappy the State is? Or is it a piece that is trying to help others? If you need a story about leaving the State, then working hard to get the heck out of the place you ended up after traveling all over and getting BACK to Michigan for better jobs and higher pay, let me know. The grass isn't always greener someplace else.

Sometimes.....there isn't any grass to compare it to.

Or trees, quiet lakes and streams, etc.

We have burn bans every summer here. One of the downfalls here in the SW. It just ain't camping without a "campfire."

Weird. I now appreciate rainy cool days, deciduous trees, and the hot and humid dog days of summer.

Not from what I know. I've been unemployed since June of 09, and will undoubtedly leave Michigan.
