The thread was old and just revived with a new person(s). If someone isn't getting child support for minor children, that needs to be addressed through legal sources. I don't get this thinking that there is going to be a treasure trove of benefits for the children.
As far as retiring from the Army Reserve after 25+ years, if the member doesn't have the right combination of age and actual computed full years of service, the children won't have benefits either I do not think. The Army Reserve time is computed differently than the regular Army.
If these children being discussed are no longer minors, they can join the military and get benefits on their own behalf.
I have the same problem my ex is receiving 80% disability and has claimed our daughter as a dependent receiving extra money for her she does not reside with him at all I don't see how this is considered to be fair for him to receive money for a child that doesn't live with him he's also doing this for his other child who has never lived with him
They don't have to reside with him, they merely need to be a dependent. Is he paying child support? Providing health insurance? Your child he is claiming may be entitled to a dependent's military ID card, among other things.
I am NOT saying that he is not entitled to his disability payment what I am saying is how is it fair that he is receiving money for a child and not giving it to her for such as things schoo clothes or things that she may need to he uses this money for personal gains for himself

Take him to court for child support.

My ex is receiving 100% disability from VA & additional money for our 3 kids, working Full time job, and flying around town on his new Harley Davidson Street Glide. He has taken me back to court to get his child support reduced and told the judge he gets nothing only Health Insurance which I know is a lie..Meanwhile I'm working 2 jobs just to keep a roof over our heads, but he spends all his money on Bike Clubs and Prostitutes. I have no proof, how can I get something/anything to go back to court with? I've filled out an Apportionment twice & haven't heard anything from them...Help

Sounds like you should of made better life choices. If you can't afford to raise your three kids than maybe your ex husband can.

Your Ex is disabled. Not you or the kids, however he gets $108.39 a month for the first child and then $80.52 per month for each additional child. So that's an additional $269.41 a month because He has dependants. Doesn't matter if they live with him or not, he has three dependants. You are not entitled to his VA Disability pay as part of the divorce, but his Disability payments can be garnished if he's not paying child support.
Is he paying his child support?
Once you're divorced both of you can do whatever you like. Prostitues and Bike Clubs sounds like his thing, as long as he's paying court ordered child support and any spousal maintenance there's not much use in you fuming about it.
His money he gets for the children is so he can care for them when they visit him. He still has to provide food, a place to sleep, have a big enough place for them, toiletries, gas for driving, and other expenses. Children still cost money even if they only come on weekends.

You should be able to subpoena the records or you could try to go on Judge Judy. Seriously, you might need a lawyer. Courts and judges don't like it when they are lied to.

I have heard that disabled vet pay is one of the few protected income sources even if they are delinquent on child support. Something about his service allowing his ex and kids to even exist in the first place thing.

It's not a matter of whether or not the VA will pay your children but more whether they will garnish his disability check because he refuses to help support his offspring.
