As stated before, VA disability payments are paid to the veteran only (In most cases.) and not required to be reported as earned income or even taxed by the government... The only way you will possibly get the VA to "reroute" a portion of his disability payments are if the courts order that it be garnished, due to him "willfully," again, "willfully" not paying any court ordered child support. And that isn't even a guarantee.

Depending on your State's laws, he may not have been required to report it, so did he really lie about this? Disclaimer: Check your local and State laws for the right answers to your question since you didn't list the State that your are currently living in or a resident of.

Other than that, you are out of luck since it's HIS money to compensate HIM for illness and/or injuries related to HIS military service.

BTW, not to be viewed as a sexist or anti-female, if the "veteran" was a female, the same rules apply.

Sweetheart I know this is old post, but I’ll up date to what I do know. First you have to have his ssn to be able to be looked up in the system to be able to pull if his 10%-100% disabled. I think this is where va disability and we as moms/ dad’s of parents of our children fall short at do to the other side don’t do anything but hide it and we never know our rights. As of today 5/29/18 this is what you can do if your child is entitled to a portion of his disability. I didn’t have his ssn but able to explain and still get them to send me paperwork to file. I just won’t be able to check on statues ect without it. They will send you stuff to fill out and the other party will get papers to fill out. Now just Incase you think we’ll what happens if they throw it in the trash. Well we our in luck we continue without them, it just looks down on them. If they our 100% disability the child can get on the health program. I’m still knew to this because my son is 2 and my sons dad never told me jack , I do get child support but not even enough to pay all of child care. 130$ what a joke, based on him not working for child support. While his driving a new whip. Just have them send the paperwork. And as far as they claiming them his entitled to do that. This is where I think it’s messed up just not enough resources for us to know our child /children’s rights. But when u file they will send something to them stating we our filing, truthfully I could care less. Just think they need a better system for us single parents with ****ty as parents that won’t help or give us information on what our children may receive.
