As a retired vet living overseas I went through 7yrs of exams/evaluations claims/letters/tests re tests, re exams and more claims to get where I am now with a VA disability rating. I had a very thick medical record when I retired.

Now several years later I will be relocating back to the USA for a final place to retire.
Anyone with experience/knowledge know if I will have to go thru being re examined/exams all over again just based on relocation? It was a nightmare and I really hope I don't have to start going thru this all over again.

They will bring it up, but you can refuse it.

I didn't and turned out to get a higher %... And it was a MUCH shorter process than the first go round...

What do you mean by you can refuse it? Seems if they request a re Physical they will give you an appointment date and you are to show.

No problem. Your file with current disability rating goes with you to next VA. However, if any doctor suspects that your rating should be reviewed the file would be turned over to OIG for review. (Office of Inspector General).

When I switched states they asked me if I wanted a new C&I... Or whatever it is called... The evaluation(I actually had a cervical epidural at the VA today, i have another buldged disc, so bear with me...) I told them sure, but the doctor made it plain it was up to me.

Now if they believe you are faking... There I can't help you.

My % went up!

I wouldn't want to go thru driving 50+ miles and more radiation xrays and whatever tests again if I already have a rating and are done. Don't see how change of location means change of injury's.
But if they demand it then so be it, everything claimed is in my record or shown thru tests, they don't give you disability w/o extensive tests/exams and referrals from doctors as well as a complete scan of your medical record while active duty.
