Home depot and lowes ALWAYS have 10% off for military (just show ID). This isn't just for veteran's day. Just FYI. When we PCS'd we saved a TON at lowes when we bought some high priced items.

ActUAlly my experience is that Lowes just ask at the register if your a veteran and gives the discount. I was talking to one employeee and he said quite right that they really didn't expect veterans to carry around proof like their DD214;makes sense. They even allowed in on sale items because that is how I found out when I went to buy on of those new latters on sale and got additional 10%.

I haven't tried to buy anything using he mil. discount in a nearly a year. When I asked customer service, about a 1.5-2.5 years ago, I was told none of them offer an "anytime" discount. Our best buy has a monthly military day and both lowes/HD offer advertise in their flier a military appreciation weekend, several times a year. Point being call beforehand
