Food coupon drive to support military (veteran, overseas, house, live)

Since it is Veteran's Day.

I would like to remind folks that thousands of military families live overseas. Some of them have a hard time with their finances and they can use our support.

Got spare food coupons? and want to assist military families in need? Food coupons are honoured and they are still 'good' for an additional 6 months beyond their printed expiration date, at all commissaries over-seas. Send them to:

Very good idea. I already send mine to my son and DDIL in Alaska, as does my mother. Any idea what a gallon of milk goes for there these days? After they take what they want, DDIL takes them in to the support group for Coastie wives and spreads them around, so I am sure they mostly get used.

I send mine to a military spouse in Spangdahlem. She distributes them to her moms group on base.

There is also a website that is a clearinghouse for sending coupons. I don't know the name, sorry, but that works for people who don't know someone personally and want to "adopt" a base to which to send coupons.
