Veterans Day - U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Dustin Zudell, 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing Command Post, is deployed
from Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, and hails from Harker Heights, Texas. My grandfather and stepfather who
were in the Army and my uncle who was in the Air Force who paved the way for me to come in, he said. U.S. Air

Latham, N.Y. - Smithtown resident William Towart, a member of the New York Naval Militia, has been awarded the
New York State "Colonel Gouverneur Morris Citizen Soldier Award" by Major General Patrick Murphy, the adjutant
general of New York. The Award is presented annually to a member of the New York State Organized Militia who has
distinguished himself through outstanding support to the New York National Guard and his local community or the
State of New York. The New York Naval Militia-one of four components of the New York Military Forces along with the
Army and Air National Guard and New York's state guard-is composed of members of the Navy, Marine Corps and
Coast Guard Reserves who also agreed to serve on New York State Active Duty when called by the governor. A small

I'd like to put up a photo of my own if no-one minds.
2 Guardsman from No. 1 Company, 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards. The Guardsman in the wheelchair lost his legs whilst running to put a tourniquet on his friend (pushing the wheelchair) who'd been hit by automatic weapon fire' when he was caught by a .50cal. His friend (the one that he was on the way to help) crawled over and helped me stem the bleeding as much as we could.
I am not a vet but my wonderful neighbour and my FIL is one...
Just to say, thank you all who have contributed your life to guard US's freedom. We are proud of & appreciate what you did for our country.
