In our childhood we remembered how our Mother would spend hours on their knees in thier gardens growing the things they loved to look at, smell and taste, ie. flowers, veggies and fruit. We love to drive by a beautiful garden of fowers and smell the air as we pass and see its reds, yellows and pinks of the flowers.
In Washington there is a garden that many have passed. All though there's alot of green trees, it has no wonderful smelling flowers, it isn't covered with veggies and fruits. And the only time you see a Mother in it, is when she's on her knees crying for the one thing she had spent not hours, not days, but years, growing, nurturing and loveing. (A child,.... her child!)
Now too many Mothers are spending thier days in, "The Garden of Stones", Section 60 is being watered by tears.
Happy veterans day! And to all those wives, girlfriends, families, mom's and dads, who bravely prayed every night for your safe return.
God Bless you all!

Here's a picture of the Payne County Veterans Memorial at Boomer Lake Park in Stillwater, OK. Below it is a picture of the granite sign explaining what the memorial is about. Both pictures were snapped by myself:
