The New Jersey Army National Guard gives plenty to it's recruits, I mean plenty. You better make sure your **** is packed straight, because the way the economy is they can be very selective *note* very selective, how's you're PT score card? you don't know? your gone. Are you a COLLEGE STUDENT with great grades? if not you're gone. How squared away are you with you're police record and credit score? if not you're gone. You better be a blue chip recruit or you're gone. And remember, no matter what your MOS is, you are always a Soldier first. If you're lucky, and you are selected, get option 4 in your contract (Airborne Wings) .....
Depending on the job your experience will differ. Coming from the Marine Corps to the Air national guard was a culture shock. I made the same decision you are making because of my wife. I wish I stayed in the Corps or not even had joined the National Guard to begin with.
