Some of the comments about Columbus being less diverse are a little outdated. In recent years there has been growth in the number of immigrants from countries throughout the world and Ohio State is a magnet for international students. It is not as one poster made it seem a city of all white evangelical christians (though there is nothing wrong with being either of those), but rather a city of many religions, ethnicities, and sexual orientations.

Metro Detroit was rated at 16 for per capita income on that Wikipedia list, so unfortunately it must be from 2000 and not 2010.

Milwaukee/Chicago suburbs meet - I think this is an advantage for Milwaukee. That you can drive to Chicago in an hour (depending where you live in the metro), is definitely a trump card.
