We (my family and I) (wife,2 kids and myself) are in need of a Christmas Tree, some lights and decorations for the outside and for the tree. If anyone can help.

They can be old or used or new, beggars can not be choosers.

I would not be asking but we are only a couple of weeks from Christmas and we need a hand. I had Brain Surgery for an Aneurysm and I haven't been able to work full time for about 6 months now, my wife is disabled with 6 blown discs and my son has down syndrome. So to say the least, we are hurting and in need of a hand.

The Church has been helping a little with some food but as for a tree or decorations they do not have the resources to help. Its bad enough we wont have the money for a few toys or cloths for the kids this year, but it would mean the world to them to have a tree and to maybe have it decorated.

I know the economy is terrible and there are many others hurting and some in worse situations then us, but through out the years, I have helped many others and I just thought I would throw this out there and see if we can possibly get a little help as well.

I am a painter by trade and very good at what I do, if someone needs something painted, I am willing to work for some help. This is nothing I would normally do, but I have to put my pride and self worth aside and think about my kids and family. And as a man, I really need a hand. We are good honest caring, loving people and we are a Church going family and members of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Greendale.

I so feel for you and your family. Please be careful on what you post on the internet. Especially since you have young children, don't give away too much information that can identify yourself with where you live, go to church, etc. Contact the Salvation Army, St. Vincent De Paul, talk to your pastor again. There are people who want to help. I wish you a Merry Christmas and hope that things turn around for you soon.
