I hate to sound like a party-pooper, but I'd prefer Milwaukee gets over the drinking image. I've had my share of alcohol-fueled good times that created lasting memories, but I've changed my views working in health care for almost 20 years. Day after day, I've seen lives destroyed by alcohol.

The drunk driver usually walks away from the accident with only a few scrapes or broken bones, while the victim is either killed, or seriously altered from severe brain and/or spinal cord injuries. Wisconsin will be a better state when it can provided stiffer fines and prison sentences for drunk drivers.

Milwaukee has so many things going for it. Why not just let the city speak for itself instead of trying to brand a name for it? Let people come and visit themselves and see what it's all about.

I miss Milwaukee! Before departing for College (Florida..Go Gators) and the Military (Ohh Rahh) I thought I would never look back. However, I can not wait to visit Milwaukee, I miss the summer venues and celebration of Ethnic backgrounds. The Brew City tag is one of a kind. Oddly I do not drink Beer.

Default Milwaukee: Not A Good Area For a Family

Milwaukee leads the way on poor behavior, multiple DUI's and childish people.

Wisconsin is a lovely place to live but beware of Milwaukee if you are responsible and have a family.
Milwaukee repesents itself as a party city in which promotes unsafe behavior such extreme alcohol abuse and no mandatory motorcycle helmet laws.

Unfortunately, Milwaukee is NOT a good place to have a family if you want them to be sober, tolerant of others, globally mature and live a better life.

It's obvious what you represent & why you're here. No one takes you seriously, words are words... they only hurt when they're true.

Most of my alcohol fueled good times have left me with no memory of what I did.

Fortunately, I have learned how to enjoy alcohol without making it the centerpiece of an experience - and I have many good memories now as a result.

Alcohol is not the enemy - abuse of the substance is the problem - responsible use is the solution.

Why should there be mandatory motorcycle helmet laws?

What is a "globally mature" person?

Isn't "a better life" a subjective concept - that is different for various individuals?
