It is a good thing, I wasn't sold on Port growing up and not knowing Port but after a few fish days and mornings fishing out of the harbor and seeing the really nice big homes there and the foggy or misty mornings it is a very underrated Exurb/Suburb of Milwaukee. Plus catching a sunrise in the morning is a great way to start the day. Living on Lake Michigan is like living on the ocean without the danger of sharks or riptides.

You guys are awesome. Grafton is definitely back on the list, but Port just became my #1! With the way you both described it, and then the google pics I pulled up, I'm in LOVE!

Use google street view as well plus if you have a weekend to come up and drive around on a Saturday will help with your decision.

you can't go wrong with any of the towns in Ozaukee county really... though I would avoid Mequon and southward. Port is great. Bike path runs through the whole county. Lots of shopping around the interstate in Grafton. Plenty to do. Wish I wouldn't have left. But make more here.

Why? is Mequon too rich and snobby or exclusive? or is it too close to MKE so therefore there is a false sense of danger? Just curious since Mequon is the destination of a ton of rich and famous people in MKE area.
