Anyone here working in the legal field? I would like to know where the admin/paralegal jobs are and how likely it is for a newcomer to get hired by a law firm?

I can honestly say the industry is not "hot". It will take some leg work to get you in an entry-level position as a legal assistant/admin. If you are persistent there are some opportunities out there, but keep in mind they may not pay well. It also depends on when you plan on moving here.

Since there are quite a few universities concentrated in the city, you will have a lot of competition if you move here around graduation time.

That's a good point. Hopefully February will be a good time.
