Hi OP; it's been some time since I've cruised the area but hwy 100 used to be one of the stretches used. Locals can give better/more recent info.
Though to be honest if its anything like Madison, any road used for cruising will be monitored and controlled (limiting the "laps" one can make, etc).


If you are new to WI, a couple show suggestions:

Depending on the car you own, there is a large show up in the Dells in May that brings in a ton of nice rides (a positive) but a ton of traffic (a huge negative there).
Automotion is the official show for the classics, held in the Noah's Ark lot. And there are other shows offsite held for tuners, trucks, etc.

One of the larger classic car shows in the nation is held in summer up in Iola (near Steven's Point). And Jefferson holds a couple shows that i believe are quite large as well.

sorry should have added (again if new to the area); Great Lakes Dragway down in Union Grove.
Besides the usual track nights, they host large events as well such as Import Wars, etc.
