A female city attorney (on probation) was on Russian television supporting Putin’s right to invade Ukraine

Just wondered with Ukraine invasion in the news and most Americans supporting Ukraine’s efforts to maintain sovereignty vs the Russian Army’s efforts to invade…

I'd say there is no support from any media supporting the Russian takeover. But to be fair, there must be some support from Russian people to allow their leader to do this and support from the military to carry it out. You'd have to assume that the soldiers are following orders voluntarily in some respect. So it's not just Putin responsible for this violence.

Locally, I don't think most people in Milwaukee care about Ukraine one way or another. I had a few conversations about Ukraine, and mostly people want to learn about what is going on there, but won't pick one side or another.

Reason 1 - Ukraine is not without blame here
Reason 2 - Russia is not without good reason
Reason 3 - USA did worse things in the recent history

It kind of a civil war with Russia wanting all it's useful land back and not stuck with wasteland.
So should the US get involved in a civil war? We've decided, mostly no.
