Downtown Waukesha just can't get a break from horrible crime. Are all the major crimes in Waukesha spillover from Milwaukee? https://www.fox6now.com/video/1187131

Master Jay, don't you work at the jail in Waukesha? Does it seem like most of the inmates are from Milwaukee?

Kraftask, good morning,

To be honest, I would say it is close to 50%/50%. It's not TOO surprising, in that they are neighboring counties with a lot of streets, as well, as Interstate 94, that connects them.

I would say the demographics have changed. When I was a youth, many Hispanics were moving out of Milwaukee to Waukesha. It was very rare to see an African-American in Waukesha. Now, it is not uncommon (even though African-Americans clearly make up less than 10% of the Waukesha population).

Darrell Brooks, for example, kept a residence in Milwaukee County, but his connection to Waukesha was that his girlfriend had moved from Milwaukee to Waukesha. ... And unfortunately, we know how that story went!
