According to the criminal complaint, Walendowski said he was angry because his Lawn Boy wouldn't start Wednesday morning. He told police quote, "I can do that, it's my lawn mower and my yard so I can shoot it if I want."

A woman who lives at Walendowski's house reported the incident. She said he was intoxicated.

Walendowski could face up to an $11,000 fine and six years and three months in prison if convicted.

A call to Walendowski's home went unanswered Friday morning

Is this common in MKE?

Yep, terribly common. Heck, just in this past month, there have been 3 assults via firearms on lawn maintenance machinery. Heck, just the other day, I saw my neighbor here in my inner ring suburb take a chain saw to his John Deere riding lawn mower.

Doesn't get more common in MKE than this...

Haha.

Lovely.

Not entirely surprising, though. I heard a man screaming at his snowblower once.

It's ironic that a man who allows himself to look this gives a crap about the condition of his lawn.

Hilarious... I grabbed the morning paper the other day and read that. I was laughing about it for an hour.

Judging from this gentleman's looks, one might hypothesize that the shooting of his lawn mower was primarily a result of missing brain cells, combined with a severe misfire in the ones that still remain, if any.

The report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel was a little more elaborate. It stated that the man had been drinking all morning, yet the incident happened at 9:30AM. Which leads me to the question: What time in the morning did he start drinking?!

From the looks of this person, I don't think he's ever stopped drinking, except perhaps to sleep.
