I'm curious about Brewers Hill...Haven't been back to WI for 1.5 years, but last time I was in Brewers Hill I was pretty disappointed. My husband and I considered moving to that neighborhood about 7 years ago (instead we relocated out of state), and at the time the developers were promising lots of shops and restaurants and a real walkable neighborhood. It doesn't seem like that has happened yet, and aside from Roots, I'm not sure what the hotspots in Brewers Hill are.

Does anyone have updates or recent pictures of the progress there? What am I missing?

I should have specified I wasn't talking specifically to you I was addressing a larger issue. I misread the first part of your comment that the area around Downtown is developing.

I would love to see Historic Mitchell Street get a facelift. It's easily accessible from Downtown, the Menominee River Valley, Bay View, and Walker's Point, and all of those old department stores could easily be turned into prime office, retail, and residential living space.
