So I drive a 1997 Mazda Protege, 4-cylinder. When I start my car up sometimes it takes awhile for it to turn over because the RPM's are pretty low but eventually it will. So when I am idling or driving at a really slow pace the RPM's bounce from almost 2000 to near 0 and sometimes 0, so then my car will turn off if it continues to hit 0. The car drives "fine" when at a faster speed but I can tell that the car wants to "rev" up, I feel a bump or a jerk in the car. I have read a few other forums about this, they are saying it could be the IAC. I would I could about checking for that? I know minor stuff about cars. If its not that, what else could it possibly be?
