Who's got it? How is it?

I've been with Verizon for a long time and have been very, very satisfied with their network. I never drop calls.

My friends on the AT&T network...calling them is a joke. It takes 4 attempts to complete a conversation. But I'm wondering if it's more of a problem in densely-populated Chicago, where they are. I get leery when I see AT&T ranked near dead-last in every major city in Consumer Reports.

BUT, I want an iPhone. I'm all-Apple in my home office and syncing with another Apple product would be great. I'm just freaked out about getting bad service with AT&T and wondered what opinions were in the Milwaukee/Waukesha areas because we'll likely be moving up there in about 6 months.

I know there are rumors swirling all around about iPhone going to Verizon but I'm an impatient human being.

Never had a problem except UpNorth, and I use it heavily across the county and into Milwaukee. There is a dead spot on 83 south of 94 but that was across networks. Lurve my iphone and it does make it so easy with my apple computer and such

I have had the opposite experience in McHenry Co, IL. My wife had Verizon as required by her company. On average, you would have to call someone 2-3 times for a 10 minute call. We had the Verizon people out, changed phones and the problems continues.

She switched over to Cingular (ATT) and has had no problems with dropped calls. YMMV.

And then there are some places...like my kitchen...where no phone provider can give me a good signal. I can have a nice conversation anywhere else in the house except the kitchen!
