So my friend is driving from Chicago to Appleton and we are going to meet somewhere for lunch--question is where..somewhere that would be easy for her to find not too far off of the interstate, preferably somewhere cool with good views or something since she has never been here (and I'm new and know nothing about the area..) Thanks for any suggestions!

Welcome to The New Fox & Hounds Restaurant and Tavern - Hubertus, WI

Fox and Hounds is a very unique place with good food. I think the place was built in the early 1800's. The interior is mostly still the original stuff. Very cool! You would get off HWY 41 and go west about 5 miles and then make a left on whatever road it is(google map it) and you are there.

We were there over the winter and it was great service and food. Its in the woods and very peaceful. Hope this helps any. Good luck!

A good option in the city of Milwaukee would be the Calatrava Cafe, the restaurant located in the Milwaukee Art Museum. It's easily accessible from I-94/I-43, and there's parking (for a small fee, of course) nearby:

Milwaukee Art Museum | visit

The nearby Third Ward has some possible options, too:

Riverfront Pizzeria is on the water: Riverfront Pizzeria Bar & Grill

Rip Tide is a nearby seafood place, but I'm not sure if they're open for lunch:Riptide | Seafood Bar and Grill | Lobster | Crab Legs | Shrimp | Salmon | Downtown Milwaukee | Best Fresh Shellfish

Water Buffalo is on the Milwaukee River: Water Buffalo - Third Ward - Milwaukee

All of these places have good views, but my pick for atmosphere and food would be the Calatrava.
