Hey, can anyone here give me some advice the Elk River area? I'm looking for a studio apartment for under $500, but I don't want to live next to drug dealers. Is that possible? Also, I saw that Elk River has a mall, but it doesn't have a website. What kind of stores are there in town?

The drug dealer thing was just a joke. I wasn't trying to bash Minneapolis if anyone thought I was. Reread my post and figured out that wasn't quite clear.

Elk River, Minnesota is a decently sized outter ring suburb of Minneapolis. There are about 20,000 residents in the City of Elk River. The city sits adjacent to Otsego, a city of about 12,000. The city is also close to Rogers, a town of about 8,000 and Anoka/Ramsey to the east.

Highway 10 and Highway 169 run through the city of Elk River, as does the NorthStar Commuter Rail and the Mississippi River, so there's a lot going on in Elk River.

Downtown Elk River is home to lofts and studio apts that are new, but since it's a suburb you wont have too much luck finding studios, they simply just do not exsist.

In terms of 'stores', you name it, Elk River has it.
Target, Cub Foods, Taco Bell, McDonalds, BK, Subways, Movie Theater, BWWs, Sonic, Car Dealerships, I mean, take just about any 20,000+ pop. suburb in America and there you go.
