I'm really upset we released him. There is no way that eliminating a player that locks down two defensive players on every play is going to help give our team a better chance to win.

I would have thought I'd be disappointed as I was happy when he came back but the Vikngs this season seem to be more soap opera than sports and I'm starting to check out on them.

He had one catch for 8 yards, maybe he could have worked a little harder ON the field to change that outcome?

When Randy joined the NFL he was the fastest player in the league-he could have been a world class sprinter. Randy played when Randy wanted to play. There were times when he would literally be jogging down the field making NO effort to get open. When he WANTED to play, there was never anyone within 20 yards of the guy. He is still the immature kid he was back then and doing only what Randy loves to do. The Pat's are laughing their way to the bank with the trade offer from the Vikings.

Everybody in the Vikings organization is upset right now with the way the team is playing and when you are losing the last thing you want to do is take questions from media people who are dying to get you to try and throw your coach and teammates under the bus. It's a crappy situation and I don't blame Randy at all for the way he is handling it.
Since you didn't watch the game, check out the video in this story and watch the one play that epitomizes Moss' effort put forth while here and what we were going to be subjected to for the rest of the season.

How Randy Moss quitting on a play led to his release by Vikings - Shutdown Corner - NFL* - Yahoo! Sports

I did watch the game and saw Moss barely break into a jog on any play that was not designed to go his way and make little effort to free himself from any pressing coverage even when thrown to.

I watched it, there is no way he could have gotten to that ball and he drew the pass interference which lead to an easy touchdown....so what?

Yeah, he could have easily made that catch dude. It's Randy Moss.

And so what? Had he caught the ball, Favre wouldn't have been taken out on the next play.

If it was thrown to Percy, you'd have seen him lay out and at least make and attempt.

There's a difference between trying and not trying, regardless of it's 'catchable' or not. You got your 41 yr old QB getting licked almost every snap because of the worthless O-Line, and you're not even going to lay out and attempt to catch it? See ya Randy.

The media should talk to the coach and leave the players alone. There are plenty of players that would love to get some media attention....go talk to them. It should be 100% optional. A good coach would shield "controversial" players from the media. Let them go talk to RoboChilly.
It's written in NFL and MLB and NBA contracts that you must present yourself at media sessions, so yea, it is part of their job.

It's so hilarious seeing all the "Fire Childress" comments on Facebook and on here.

1 year ago today when the Vikes were 6-1, and especially a week after beating the Cowgirls in the playoffs all you heard was "Chilly, he aint that bad!"... and now it's all "Fire Chilly!!"

It's not 'Chilly's' fault that the Big four -Edwards, Allen, Kevin and Pat are dead last in the league in sacks, when they were FIRST last season.

It's not 'Chilly's fault that the O-Line (Loadholdt and Sullivan/Cook) cannot block to save their lives.

Toby Geheart is slow piece of garbage who cannot block either.

Berrian is ridiculously worthless, as he always has been.

And don't even get me started on their secondary. You're telling me you're going to go after Camarillo, Baskett and Moss but just trust Chris Cook and Frank Walker to do the job?

The Vikings going after Camarillo, Moss and Baskett was about as stupid as the Twins going after Capps, Fuentes and Flores.

Everyone knows in baseball starting pitching wins Rings (ahem, ahem, Lincecum, Sanchez) and football, defense wins em' (The two highest scoring teams in NFL history couldnt even get a ring)

Report: Randy Moss of Minnesota Vikings lashed out at locally-catered team meal - ESPN

Maybe if the Vikings would hire a decent catering company, they'd still have Moss. Instead of using ma' and pa's restaurant they should have used professionals? Maybe? Me just being Devil's Advocate
