Hello all... I'm 3 weeks from moving to the area and wanted to ask
if there were any cheap tanning places near Highland Park, Eagan, or
St. Paul where I could get some "quick sun" during the winter months.

Some place with no monthly contracts where you can just show up and
get 15 mins for about $4 a visit from time to time.

Thanks!

grand tan club is a good place to go. their memberships start at $25 and it's the only place i know of that doesn't have those stupid start up fees. they just merged with a day spa (new beginnings, i believe) so it's called spa gabriella now. if you do go it's a good idea to call ahead and make an appointment, as there is sometimes 15-20 minute wait!

I was hoping not to get sucked into a membership. As a guy, I am not doing it to tan,
I'm doing it once a week to feel better during the winter months when things start getting
achy from the cold.. There's got to be a cheap $4 pay-as-you-go place somewhere..

No offense, but you're joking right?

Nope.. I lived in Seattle for 8 years and during the winter a lot of people
went to the tanning shops during the winter to "de-frost".

I haven't heard that one...I've always gotten by with hot showers and space heaters. Maybe I'm the idiot though.

Try it once. Tanning beds heat you up from the inside out. Somehow the
radiation stimulates your insides somehow and you become less sensitive to
the cold. 50% of the people I knew in Seattle went to the beds twice a week
to "heat up".
