Conservatives

There may be more liberals that other states but outside the cities a lot of suburbs are very conservative. That being said, I think as a rule Minnesotans seem more tolerant of others than some areas of the country.

Conservatives here, more than other areas, are still environmentalists. I hypothesize that when we have so many citizens and visitors enjoying what nature offers in this state, and when a significant portion of the regional economy relies on that, it kind of makes everyone a little more respectful. We recognize that air and water pollution doesn't respect property lines, so no, you can't just do whatever you please on your property if it's bad for the fish, bad for the trees, bad for the birds, etc. Liberals and conservatives may have different ideas of the best way to achieve the best results, but most of us just want good value on the taxes we pay to live in this beautiful state.
