Are there any Indoor Swimming Pools for winter exercise near Highland Park?
If so what are the rates like?

Thanks
Tom

There's one at Edgecumbe Road & Montreal Avenue - not sure if it's indoor or not

Not Highland Park but there is a pretty big YMCA in Eagan on Highway 55 so if you cross over the Mendota Bridge and follow 55 it is just down the road near Tompson/Rueters only about 10 minutes away.

St. Paul JCC has an indoor pool. You have to have a full fitness membership to use it.
Aquatics

Sometimes the High School pools have open swim times, or at least stroke clinics which would be a good workout. You have to look at the St. Paul Community Ed catalog to find what is offered.

St. Catherine's University has open lap swim. I don't think that you have to be member of Butler Rec Center to use it - I think they have a separate fee you can pay to just use the pool during lap swim.
St. Catherine University Athletics - Public Access to Butler Center

Great River Water Park/Jimmy Lee Rec Center has a super pool with open swim and lap swim times. You can buy 10 lap swims for I think about $4.50 a swim.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the replies.. I'll check them all out. I'm basically looking for a
place close by that I can just pay $5 and limber up for 30 mins during the
winter. I don't want to pay membership fees, I just want to pay as I go.

Some hotels will let you you use their pools for a small fee like this too. It would be worth checking into for what you want to use it for.

Great idea golfgal.. Although I feel a little weird going into a hotel and
asking to use their pool.

The YMCA is super expensive. There is a signup fee and then you pay $62
per month. That's crazy high.

I'd consider signing up for a gym membership if they had a pool and charged
a reasonable monthly fee.
