Hi,

We are moving to Victoria, MN and wondered if anyone knew of any "mother's day out" programs in the Minneapolis area. I know that they are often at large churches, but am not too familiar with the area.

Thanks!

I don't know specifically about any Mother's Day out programs but check out the ECFE programs in MN. It stands for Early Childhood Family Education. It is for families of kids birth to kindergarten. The basic structure of the classes are that when you first get there there is free play time with the kids, then the parents move to another room and the kids are involved in great activities with licensed teachers/assistants. The parents discuss different parenting concerns, etc. and the kids get to play. For the older kids they usually have a pre-school set up where you drop the kids off like any other preschool. These programs are a GREAT way to meet people with kids of similar ages!

There are many Mother's Day Out programs in the Twin Cities. In what area of the cities are you looking? I'm familiar with those in the Southwest Minneapolis/Edina/Richfield/St. Louis Park area.

There is a MOMS Club for Chaska/Victoria -- daytime activities w/kids plus Moms' Night Out, etc.

MOMS Club of Chaska/Victoria, MN

There is also a "newcomers' club" for that area of the Twin Cities. Not specifically focused on Moms, but they have social nights out and weekday coffee meetings, etc.

And the local news/community site for Victoria:
