First prerequisite for legislative action is soon to be revealed in detail, local municipality partner, site chosen, cost identified. Vikings can get this slow train moving by announcing that they will help pay for the roof. Republicans will then come up with a Racino/revenue plan that will leave general funds untouched and likely increased from stadium operations.

The one good thing I can say about this proposal is that playing games beats manufacturing ammunition any day...

Personally, being a vikings fan in Chicago (love this city!), I'm hoping they move to Chicago somehow.

This city is sports crazy, and it has the demographic and the size to host two NFL teams. It's an out-there idea, but I'm crossing my fingers anyway.

Build it in Saint Cloud. The Vikings fans can just cruise up I-94, and the money that was spent in Saint Cloud would be money that wasn't going to be spent there otherwise.

Money/Taxes/Funding, etc. aside, I don't like that idea. Just me $.02 though.

How would anyone get to the games? Why would anyone go to the games?

I'm sorry, but the drive to Saint Cloud is well over an hour as it is, not to mention how it would be in bumper-to-bumper traffic caused by 50,000 cars trying to get there at the same time from the same direction. And those of us who depend on public transit?
