I posted here awhile back with a few questions (and you all were very helpful). What kind of commute would it be from Prior Lake and/or Savage to a job in Minnetonka?

Was wondering if anyone had any input on this?

Well, I am in HR and I just lost a guy who commuted from Savage to Plymouth (which borders Mtka).

His resignation letter began: The commute was murder

My son used to live in Prior Lake and commuted to Eden Prairie to work; he now lives in St. Louis Park and has a much shorter and more relaxing commute. (EP borders Minnetonka on the south; he now has to drive through Minnetonka to get to work).

That's the only thing *I* know about this commute.

I think the key to cutting your commute times in the twincities area is to not cross any rivers.

Excellent point Kuan. I've turned down jobs because of that. The minute you need to cross a river, you are STUCK. There is no way out.

The limited number of river crossings on the south side does increase the commute time.

If you're looking for a place to live, try Eden Prairie or Chanhassen.
