Anyone have a favorite local farmer's market? In South Minneapolis, we have one near the Blue Line. It sells two days a week. I follow it on Facebook. They apparently are getting in fresh local strawberries. Now I need to get down there to support local growers while eating the BEST, nourishing fruit!

I have also been looking for a good one. I will be trying out the one at Centennial Lakes in Edina tomorrow. Does anyone know of any that have a good amount of meat and cheese available? I really miss living in Madison where they have the giant farmer's market around the capital with many meat and cheese booths (fresh, squeaky cheese curds ).

We're partial to the St. Paul one. I just like the vibe and the people that are there (reminds me of the last town I lived in). There are usually several places selling meats and cheeses. The Maple Grove on is one of the best ones I've found in the north/northwest suburbs. They usually have ~30 vendors, as opposed to 5-12 at a lot of the smaller ones. I'll be living very close to the MG market soon, so I'm sure that will be a regular stop, but we'll still go to St. Paul once in a while just for fun.

I haven't been to the Minneapolis ones other than walking past Nicollet on Thursdays.

An even better link. Though Minnesota Grown is about a lot of other things than just farmer's markets.
