I moved here from another state and I need to take the knowledge test. I did get the chance to read through the driver's manual, but I was wondering if there are any other resources. Also, for any people who came from CA, would you say that it's harder?

Whatever manual they give you for the test should be all you need.....seriously. Most of the test is common sense anyways and I BELIEVE that you can skip "trickier" questions and just answer the ones you KNOW. Once you answer 30 correct (out of 40 total) you pass. I got one wrong I think, and I'm 29 and took the knowledge test in OH 2 months ago.

I'm from California. I "studied" for it (only from the manual) because I thought there might be snow/ice related questions (which would be new info for me). I passed - no problem (think I only missed 1). However, my sister in law (also from CA) did not study and did NOT pass (had to repeat). Take it for what you will...but never hurts to study a bit! Also, we both thought some of the questions were "trick" questions (ie phrased in a way so that if you don't read it carefully you will get it wrong). Take your time reading the questions. Good luck!

When I moved here 5 years ago, I only studied the manual and passed. All the questions came out of it. I do recommend studying the manual, as there is a lot of stuff that we take for granted from years to driving, but probably don't remember the exact specifics. Good luck!

Everything you need to know is in the manual. If you just look that over a bit, you should be fine. Good luck!
