What do you consider to be "reasonably priced"?

I think the closest residential area with nice apartments is Highland from which you can get to the airport in under 10 minutes. Also, check out Longfellow and the areas near the VA hospital.

You'll need to give us more specifics.

How far is "close" for you?
Do you want to get to the airport by car or by public transportation?
Do you prefer city or suburbs?
How close to other amenities do you want to be?
Other details to help us refine your search?

Eagan would be a good fit... Bloomington and Richfield as well.

In the current market, there are hardly any "reasonably priced" apartments. Rentals are in high demand and landlords and property management companies know it.

If you keep your eyes peeled and really do some digging you can probably find a deal, but it won't be easy.

I would like to do a maximum of $600/month. How is the public transportation system there? If it's quality, I would like to be near it.

I think anywhere near the airport is not going to be particularly friendly to your budget. Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and the suburbs near the airport tend to have 1 bedrooms starting in the $700 range, typically. Not that you couldn't find something, but I think it's pretty uncommon.

This will be especially true if you're anywhere that has frequent public transportation. To get quality transportation, you'll have to be either in very specific areas of Minneapolis and Saint Paul. For quick access to the airport, you could try anywhere along the Hiawatha light-rail line. However, I think you'll find the areas you'll want to be along that line tend to be more expensive than you'd prefer. Again, you'll be looking maybe mid-$500s-600s for a studio and $700 and up for a 1 bedroom.
