I grew up in outstate Minnesota, and will be traveling back to the Twin Cities in early January with my fiance. I'm trying to plan some activities for our trip, and would love a little guidance. She's a huge adrenaline junkie, however, I'm not sure what our options would be with that type of thing in January. Also, if you have any suggestions on romantic restaurants and or things to do or places to go for some nice dates, I would greatly appreciate your help.

Thanks!!!

Minnehaha Falls is usually frozen then. You could climb that.

Or you could touch your tongue to a metal post. That'll get your adrenaline flowing.

112 Eatery, Saffron, Bar La Grassa, Barrio, Sea Change are great places to eat.
Lake Minnetonka has their annual Polar Bear Plunge where you jump in the frozen lake.
You could ski or go sledding. You could snowshoe. There is the ice rink downtown connected
to The Depot hotel for ice skating. Seeing a show at The Guthrie is a must do.

I'm not sure what it is called, or if/where you could rent equipment, but the ice sailing...or maybe ice windsurfing?...looks super-fun.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for but there's an indoor trampoline park in Plymouth called Skyzone. Maybe not an adrenaline rush but active and fun.

Visit the History Museum and the Science Museum if you have not been. Go to the Mall of America and take the light rail downtown and walk around through the skyways. Great for people watching.

Thought of this post when I saw one of the Groupons for today: Kiteboarding lessons on White Bear Lake for two people $100. Dallas Deals: Coupons on Things to Do in Dallas | Groupon Deals Scroll down until you see "White Bear Lake" on the right.

Retrying link...not sure why it says Dallas? http://www.groupon.com/r/uu1138261

I doubt that the state or the insurance companies would allow that kind of speeds. I was on an outdoor go kart racetrack last summer where, pushing it downhill, I might have made it to 20 mph. Beyond that speed, the likelihood of serious injury becomes too great.
