Nah. I've always found the regional differences in English to be interesting, like the way my friends in Milwaukee talk about drinking from "bubblers", or the way folks down here say "chickpeas" instead of "garbanzo beans" and say "y'all" (which I like, actually).

The "the" prefix for interstates is really minor thing, but it stands out like a sore thumb for me. A big red flag saying "You aren't from MN or GA". And that's good. Makes life more interesting.

That makes much more sense! The regional idioms and verbages can definitely be interesting. BTW, I didn't know chickpeas and garbanzo beans were the same thing! lol
